Membership
The membership of the association shall comprise the following:
1. Active members: Urology surgeons who have completed and are certified by a recognized institution.
2. Associate member: a trainee in a recognized urology residence program. These members do not have the right to vote and cannot be elected.
3. Honorary members: These are distinguished urologic surgeons who have contributed to urological care and education.
4. International member: urologist either residing in Somalia or outside the country and is interested in joining the association. These members do not have the right to vote and cannot be elected.
Membership Eligibility
Anyone with a urology degree from a recognized institution can join the association. Admission shall be subject to the regulations and bylaws of the association. All membership applications shall be reviewed and approved by the executive Committee.
Termination of Membership
Membership is discontinued if the member resigns, fails to pay the annual fee, or is found guilty, of misconduct and infringement of the association’s constitution. The executive committee can decide on the termination of membership.
Subscription and Association Year
The annual subscription fee for different membership categories shall be determined by the executive committee and approved at the annual general meeting. The association’s year and subscription shall start from the 1st of January and shall end on the 31st of December each year.
